Publisher's Description:

USBDeview - USBDeview is a small utility that lists all USB devices that currently connected to your computer, as well as all USB devices that you previously used.

For each USB device, extended information is displayed: Device name/description, device type, serial number (for mass storage devices), the date/time that device was added, VendorID, ProductID, and more...

USBDeview also allows you to uninstall USB devices that you previously used, and disconnect USB devices that are currently connected to your computer.

You can also use USBDeview on a remote computer, as long as you login to that computer with admin user.

Looks interesting, I guess, it helps me to verify availability of USB devices within my virtual machine guest OS.

Clear, simple user-interface and helpful instructions and revision history, but the application failed to detect an already-connected Logitech camera. Have not yet tested detection removal and re-attachment of camera.

Looks pretty good

I'll have to say this is a limited review as I was looking for something to tell me whether the USB ports on a machine were USB 2.0 or not, but Iw as very impressed by the level of information this little program produced. I tried it on a battle weary Windows 2000 PC and it identified all sorts of USB devices I had forgotten about, also indicating drive preferences as well. It obviously does not install as you just run it in any local directory, is friendly and efficient. What else would you need to know?

Helpful diagnostic program

This program helped me solve an annoying USB problem. It will give you more info about what's on the bus than Windows will.
